There are two ways to do this. If you still have the app installed, the in-app route is faster and you can cancel it yourself. If you have already uninstalled it, use the email route at the bottom.
Export a backup first. What is being deleted is the evidence behind a tax deduction you may have already claimed, and a logbook cannot be reconstructed after the fact. The app offers an export on the same screen as the delete button.
Your account is marked immediately and you are signed out. You need to be online for this — a deletion request sitting unsent in a queue while you believe your account is gone would be worse than being told to wait for signal.
Send a request from the email address the account uses. That address is how the request is verified, so a request sent from a different address cannot be actioned.
Requests are actioned within 30 days. You will get a reply confirming when it is done.
| Destroyed | Kept, unless you ask |
|---|---|
| Every trip, including its route and addresses | Your sign-in. It is shared with the Invoice & PDF app, so deleting it would lock you out of a separate product you did not ask to leave. Say the word and it goes too. |
| Every fuel entry, including receipt photos | Anything in Invoice & PDF, including trips RoadRecord previously copied across. That is the other app's records; delete them there. |
| Your vehicles, and your account's membership of any shared vehicle | |
| Your saved places, no-record zones and app settings |
Deletion is a two-stage process. Your account is marked straight away and signs out; the records are destroyed 30 days later. Signing back in during that window finds the mark and offers to cancel it.
The delay is deliberate. The ATO amendment window runs for years, and a driver who taps the wrong thing on a Tuesday has not lost a photo album — they have lost the substantiation for a claim already lodged. Thirty days is the smallest window that makes a mis-tap recoverable.
