Record trips
On unless you pause it — for a holiday or someone else using the phone.
Don't record trips here
A drive that starts and ends inside one of these circles is not recorded — moving the ute around the yard is not travel. A drive that leaves the circle is recorded in full. Shared with Invoice & PDF → Settings → Zones.
Home & workplaces
Mark home and where you work, and drives between them classify themselves:
- Home → workplace is a commute: private, not deductible.
- Workplace → anywhere is business.
- Home → anywhere else is private unless you say otherwise.
- Home and business base → anywhere is business. You confirm what that means first.
Applies to new trips and to any still undecided. Nothing you have already decided is changed.

Checking the rate…
Fuel & energy
I charge off my own solar
A home charge with no dollar figure counts as $0 instead of being left out.
Queensland fuel prices
Paste the Data Consumer Token from the Fuel Price Reporting scheme and the fuel form fills in today's board price at the servo you stopped at.
Reminders
Reminders on my phone
Low fuel, a service or renewal due, a fill that looks missed. Never more than one a day. Off, the same information stays on the vehicle's page.
Fuel running low
Needs the tank size and two measured tanks. Once per tank, when the range drops under:
Service or renewal due
From the next-due reading or date you logged. Weekly while it is within:
Or within 14 days of a due date.
A fill looks missed
Further since the last logged fill than a tank carries. Asks once, with an estimate ready to correct.
Connection reports
Sharing vehicle scans
Coolant warning
Spoken out loud while you drive.
Reads the engine's standard coolant sensor through the dongle once a minute and says it out loud if it runs hot. Works on any vehicle that answers the standard reading.
Most engines run 90–105°C. It speaks once when it crosses each level, not every minute, and goes quiet again once the temperature comes properly back down.
Reports
Attach the edit history
Prints every change you made to a business trip after it was recorded, with what it was before — what makes the report audit-ready. Private trips are never included.
Export & backup
Take your logbook with you
Days → CSV opens in Excel or Sheets. Full backup is everything, for restoring after a lost phone. The document for the ATO is the PDF on the Reports tab.
Restore from a backup
Puts a Full backup file back. Nothing already on this phone is erased, and you see what is in the file before anything is written.
Offline maps
Keep maps for where I regularly go
Off. Turn on and the places you drive to most are saved for offline use, and refreshed weekly.
Choose my own area
Frame any area on the map, stretch it to size, and download it.
Saved areas

Clear the backlog
Skip or clear a run of old trips in one go.
Add a trip by hand
For a drive RoadRecord did not pick up.
Problem log
Crash reports

What has gone wrong on this phone
Nothing recorded.
Locations, emails, registrations and account ids are removed before anything is written. It stays on this phone unless you send it.
Feedback0
Each report gets a job number. Replies show up here once they are ready.
Danger zone
Delete my RoadRecord data
Erases every trip, fuel entry and vehicle, on this phone and the server. Cannot be undone after 30 days, and a deduction already claimed loses its evidence — back up first. Your sign-in and anything in Invoice & PDF stay.
